The DJI RS 4 is a 3-axis motorized gimbal stabilizer designed for use with mirrorless and DSLR camera systems, providing smooth handheld footage across a range of shooting environments. It supports a maximum payload of 3 kg (6.6 lb), accommodating a wide variety of camera and lens combinations. The stabilizer features DJI’s fourth-generation RS stabilization algorithm, offering improved motion prediction and response compared to previous iterations. A 1.8-inch full-color touchscreen on the front of the handle provides direct access to settings, shooting modes, and camera control parameters without requiring a connected mobile device. The RS 4 includes a native cold shoe mount and a NATO rail for accessory mounting, along with a built-in OLED display on the axis arm for quick parameter reference. Bluetooth and USB-C camera control allow for shutter triggering, ISO adjustment, and other camera parameters depending on compatibility with the connected camera system. The gimbal supports vertical shooting orientation and includes DJI’s SuperSmooth mode for use with longer focal lengths.
