GoPro HERO9 Black Modified Body with ARDUCAM 8-50mm Lens

The GoPro HERO9 Black Modified Body with Arducam 8-50mm Lens is a customized version of GoPro’s HERO9 Black action camera, modified to accept Arducam-style M12 varifocal lenses in place of its original fixed, ultra-wide optic. This conversion gives photographers and videographers adjustable focal length and manual focus control, capabilities the stock GoPro lens doesn’t offer, making it well suited to specialized filming, FPV, and other applications where a fixed wide-angle lens isn’t practical.

At its core, the modified body retains the HERO9 Black’s 23.6MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and GP1 processor, capable of capturing 5K video at 30fps and 4K video at up to 60fps, along with 20MP still photos. HyperSmooth video stabilization and other in-camera processing carry over from the stock camera, though performance may vary depending on the attached lens, since GoPro’s image-processing pipeline was originally tuned for its factory optic.

The included Arducam 8-50mm lens is a manually adjustable varifocal lens, letting users dial in a field of view anywhere from wide-angle through moderate telephoto by turning the zoom ring on the lens barrel, with focus likewise adjusted manually. This gives far more compositional flexibility than GoPro’s fixed-focal-length design, at the cost of the pocketable, lens-less profile of a stock HERO9 Black.

Because this is a specialty modification rather than a standard factory configuration, specific details like mount type, waterproofing, and included accessories can vary by builder, so these should be confirmed directly with the specific unit or seller.
