Rent NowThe Nikon FTZ Mount Adapter allows Nikon F-mount lenses to be used with Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras, providing photographers with a convenient way to continue using compatible DSLR lenses when transitioning to or expanding a Nikon Z system.
The adapter is compatible with approximately 360 Nikon F-mount lenses and provides varying levels of functionality depending on the lens being used. With compatible AF-S, AF-P, and AF-I lenses, autofocus, auto exposure, and exposure metering functionality can be maintained, providing a more seamless experience when adapting compatible lenses.
Older Nikon AF lenses can also be mounted, although certain models require manual focusing when used through the adapter. A wide selection of manual focus F-mount lenses is supported as well, with available exposure and metering functions varying depending on the specific lens design.
When used with compatible lenses, the adapter allows Nikon Z cameras with in-body Vibration Reduction to provide stabilization support for adapted F-mount lenses. This provides additional flexibility when working with existing Nikon lenses that may not feature their own optical stabilization.
The FTZ is constructed from magnesium alloy and features weather-resistant sealing for added durability when working in demanding environments. An integrated 1/4″-20 tripod socket on the base provides an additional mounting point and can help improve balance when working with larger and heavier F-mount lenses.
