The Nikon Z fc is a vintage-inspired DX-format mirrorless camera engineered to fuse the timeless industrial design of Nikon’s iconic 1980s FM2 film SLR with modern Z-mount imaging architecture. Built with tactile, precision-carved aluminum analog dials for direct mechanical adjustment of shutter speed, ISO sensitivity, and exposure compensation, the Z fc blends tactile control with contemporary creator tools. Inside its retro magnesium-alloy chassis sits a 20.9-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor paired with Nikon’s EXPEED 6 processor, delivering clean rendering, wide dynamic range, and low noise across a native sensitivity span of ISO 100 to 51200 (expandable to ISO 204800). Designed for high-speed street photography, travel documentation, and everyday vlogging, the system captures full-resolution stills at continuous burst speeds up to 11 fps with autofocus and autoexposure tracking.
Autofocus is driven by a 209-point hybrid phase-detection and contrast-detection array covering roughly 87% of the frame horizontally and 85% vertically, featuring AI Eye-Detection AF for humans and animals across both photography and video modes. For content creators, the Z fc records uncropped internal UHD 4K video up to 30p and Full HD 1080p high-frame-rate capture up to 120 fps for 4x/5x slow-motion playback. The rear panel incorporates a 3.0-inch 1.04m-dot vari-angle touchscreen LCD that swivels forward for self-taping, complemented by a round-eyepiece 2.36m-dot OLED EVF and a top-plate LCD window displaying current aperture values. With USB-C continuous power delivery, web conferencing streaming support, and a 3.5mm stereo microphone terminal, this retro shooter offers distinctive aesthetic appeal in a well-used, working form factor.
CONDITION DIAGNOSTICS & PHYSICAL NOTES
Included Components: SOLID HYBRID CAMERA BODY OUTFIT. Supplied with the Nikon Z fc mirrorless camera body, genuine Nikon EN-EL25 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and camera body cap. (Nikon Z lenses, SD cards, external wall chargers, and USB-C data cables sold separately unless pictured).
Exterior & Chassis Status: WELL-USED / FAIR CONDITION. The silver-finished aluminum top plate, textured black leatherette wrap, bottom plate, and corner edges exhibit noticeable cosmetic signs of extensive field use. Visible finish wear includes surface scratches, paint rubbing along high-contact edges, and handling marks around the baseplate. Engraved dial numbers, Nikon logo script, and button designations remain legible throughout.
Mechanical Dials & Controls: FAIR CONDITION (NOTE ON ISO MECHANISM). The physical ISO dial and its center lock-release button are sticky, requiring firmer tactile pressure to depress the button and rotate between sensitivity values; once turned, the electronic sensor registers all ISO changes accurately. The shutter speed dial, exposure compensation dial, top mini aperture display window, and rear control buttons actuate reliably.
Sensor & Mount Status: EXCELLENT CONDITION. The 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor glass is pristine, spotless, and completely free of dust, scratches, oil spots, or cleaning residues. The stainless steel Nikon Z-mount bayonet and gold-plated electronic contacts are clean and tight with no mounting play.
Viewfinder & Display Status: GOOD CONDITION. The round 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder is bright, clear, and free of optical blemishes or dead pixels. The 3.0-inch 1.04m-dot vari-angle LCD touchscreen shows typical faint surface handling marks that do not impede image review or framing; the articulating hinge swivels smoothly with firm factory resistance; capacitive touch controls respond accurately.
Electronic & Operational Status: FULLY FUNCTIONAL. The focal-plane mechanical shutter actuates cleanly up to 1/4000s and 11 fps; 209-point hybrid AF and Eye Detection lock swiftly; UHD 4K and Full HD 120p video write reliably to the SD card slot; USB-C port charges the battery and delivers continuous operating power; 3.5mm mic jack transmits clean audio; SnapBridge Bluetooth and Wi-Fi pair properly.
