Rent NowThe Rokinon 24mm T1.5 Cine DS is a wide-angle manual-focus cinema lens designed for Canon EF-mount cameras. Combining a broad field of view with a fast T1.5 maximum aperture, the lens is well suited for narrative filmmaking, music videos, landscapes, interiors, establishing shots, and other professional video applications.
When paired with a full-frame camera, the 24mm focal length provides an approximately 84.1° angle of view, offering a wide perspective while maintaining a natural appearance. On APS-C cameras, the lens provides an approximately 57.6° angle of view, making it adaptable to a variety of camera systems and production requirements.
The optical design incorporates hybrid aspherical elements and Extra-Low Dispersion glass to help minimize distortion, chromatic aberrations, and color fringing. Rokinon’s Ultra Multi-Coating helps reduce flare and ghosting while improving contrast and color reproduction. Cine DS lenses are also color-matched to help maintain consistent color when working with multiple lenses from the series.
A fast T1.5 maximum aperture provides excellent low-light capability and extensive control over depth of field. The de-clicked aperture ring allows for smooth and continuous exposure adjustments during recording without the distinct stops associated with traditional photography lenses.
Industry-standard geared focus and aperture rings allow the lens to integrate with compatible follow-focus systems, iris motors, and other cinema accessories. Rokinon’s Cine DS series maintains consistent focus and iris gear positioning across compatible lenses, helping streamline lens changes when working with a configured camera rig.
Focus and aperture markings are displayed on both sides of the lens, providing convenient visibility for camera operators and focus pullers. A minimum focusing distance of approximately 9.8 inches allows for close subject placement, while the 77mm front filter thread accommodates a variety of compatible filters and accessories.
