Optically, the lens incorporates five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements alongside four precision aspherical elements to minimize chromatic aberrations, color fringing, and spherical distortion across the frame. Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating suppresses lens flare and ghosting to preserve contrast and color neutrality under direct light. Powered by an integrated Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) and an Internal Focus (IF) mechanism, it delivers fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus performance with full-time manual focus override.
