Combining high resolving power with action speed, the a7R III achieves full-resolution burst shooting at up to 10 fps with full continuous AF/AE tracking for up to 76 consecutive frames using either its vibration-damped mechanical shutter or silent electronic shutter. The upgraded Fast Hybrid AF system utilizes 399 focal-plane phase-detection points covering 68% of the image frame alongside 425 contrast-detection areas, providing fast focus acquisition, low-light sensitivity down to -3 EV, and reliable Real-Time Eye AF in both AF-S and AF-C modes.
