Westcott expands its FJ line with the FJ800 800Ws Touchscreen Strobe with FJ Pro AC/DC Battery, the brand’s most powerful monolight yet, designed to conquer any lighting challenge. The FJ800 ensures speed and reliability with recycle times ranging from a rapid 0.01 to 1.8 seconds.

Like the FJ400 II, the FJ800 features a 30W bi-color LED modeling light and a full-color OLED touchscreen for intuitive onboard control. This 800Ws version also includes convenient LED group color indicators on its back for easy identification. Beyond these, the FJ800 offers advanced settings such as a Freeze mode for incredibly fast flash durations and a Creative Mask feature for enhanced efficiency. Users will benefit from flexible AC/DC power options with the included interchangeable FJ Pro battery, which provides up to 250 full-power flashes per charge. While slightly larger than the FJ400 II, the FJ800 maintains an overall compact form factor, making it a highly portable and rapid strobe lighting solution, weighing in at just 7.5 lb with a heavy-duty handle.

The FJ800 runs on a powerful, removable 29.6V, 2500mAh AC/DC lithium-ion battery, providing 250 full-power flashes and thousands of low-power flashes on a 1.5-hour charge. The included FJ Pro battery features LED status indicators to keep you informed of remaining power. For even higher capacity, the separately available FJ ProMax battery delivers up to 500 flashes at full power. The shared battery compatibility with the FJ400 II eliminates the need for multiple power solutions, while convenient AC trickle-charge functionality ensures uninterrupted performance during extended sessions.

An upgraded 30W bi-color LED modeling light, adjustable from 2700 to 6500K, is integrated for easy framing and composition. A USB-C port is present for firmware updates.
