The DJI Ronin 4D is a fully integrated 4-axis cinema camera system combining a 6K full-frame image sensor with a built-in 4-axis stabilization system that adds a dedicated Z-axis for vertical movement compensation in addition to the conventional three axes of pan, tilt, and roll. This integration of camera and stabilizer into a single unified system eliminates the need for a separate gimbal, reducing setup time and providing a more rigid and precisely calibrated connection between stabilization and imaging components. The Sony E-mount configuration accepts the broad range of Sony FE lenses as well as compatible third-party E-mount optics, providing flexibility in lens selection. A built-in LiDAR ranging system enables reliable autofocus performance across a range of shooting conditions, and the modular design allows accessories including monitors, wireless video transmitters, and handles to be configured to suit different production requirements.
