The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (BMPCC 6K Pro) is an advanced Super 35 digital cinema camera designed for high-end film, commercial, and broadcast production. Building upon the original 6K platform, the 6K Pro integrates motorized internal neutral density filters (Clear, 2, 4, and 6 stops of IR ND), updated Generation 5 Color Science, dual mini-XLR audio inputs with +48V phantom power, and a high-brightness 5.0-inch 1500 cd/m² tilting HDR touchscreen LCD. Featuring an active Canon EF mount, it provides full electronic control for aperture, autofocus, and optical zoom with compatible EF and EF-S lenses while recording lens metadata directly to clip files.
The Super 35 sensor offers 13 stops of dynamic range and Dual Native ISO up to 25,600, recording up to 6K resolution (6144 x 3456) at 50 fps in 12-bit Blackmagic RAW or Apple ProRes 422 formats. Media capture options include internal CFast 2.0 and SD UHS-II card slots, alongside direct recording to external SSD drives via USB-C. Powered by an NP-F570 L-series battery slot, the 6K Pro also supports the optional electronic viewfinder (EVF) and battery grip accessories.
