Exterior & Zoom Ring Status: WELL-USED / FAIR CONDITION. The composite barrel shell shows heavy signs of handling, surface scuffs, cosmetic abrasions, and finish rubbing from continuous field use. The ribbed rubber zoom ring grip is stretched, loose, and coming off the barrel track; it can be pushed, glued, or replaced by the user, but currently slips or lifts during operation. The underlying zoom mechanism continues to rotate through the 28-75mm focal range.
Front Element & Optical Status: WELL-USED / FAIR CONDITION. The front optical glass element has multiple visible surface scratches and light coating marks from field contact. Internal optical groups contain scattered dust specks typical of heavily used zoom optics. While strong direct backlighting may introduce minor flare or slight contrast reduction in high-contrast scenes, the lens remains functional for general imaging, video capture, and workhorse documentary assignments. The rear glass element remains intact and functional.
