DJI Ronin 4D Flex Extension Unit

The DJI Ronin 4D Flex Extension Unit allows the Zenmuse X9 gimbal camera to be detached from the main Ronin 4D body, connecting the two via a 6.6-foot integrated cable that maintains full communication and supports lossless 8K video transmission between the units. This separation reduces handheld operating weight to approximately 4 lbs, making extended handheld shooting more manageable and opening up creative configurations in tight spaces, vehicles, and other constrained environments. The Flex head includes a cold shoe mount and display port for attaching a monitor, along with 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads for mounting to extension rods, jib arms, or tripods. With the X9 detached, the system can be configured as a remote head, with pan, tilt, and camera functions controllable through the Ronin 4D ecosystem. Tool-free switching between the Flex configuration and the standard integrated setup allows for fast transitions on set. The unit is compatible with the DJI Ronin 4D-6K and Ronin 4D-8K.
