Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera (Body Only)

The Sony FX6 is a compact full-frame cinema camera designed for professional filmmaking, documentary, event, commercial, and run-and-gun production. It combines a 10.2MP full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor with Sony’s BIONZ XR image processor, providing strong low-light performance, fast sensor readout, and more than 15 stops of dynamic range.

The FX6 supports DCI 4K and UHD 4K recording with professional XAVC codec options, including 10-bit 4:2:2 XAVC-I recording. High-frame-rate recording is available at up to 120 fps in UHD 4K and up to 240 fps in Full HD, providing flexibility for both standard production and slow-motion capture.

Sony’s S-Cinetone provides a cinematic look with natural skin tones and pleasing color directly from the camera, while S-Log3, S-Gamut3, and S-Gamut3.Cine provide additional flexibility for productions requiring more extensive color grading. The camera offers more than 15 stops of dynamic range and features dual base sensitivity options of ISO 800 and ISO 12,800 for working across a wide variety of lighting conditions.

A Fast Hybrid autofocus system uses 627 phase-detection points and supports Face Detection and Real-time Eye AF for responsive subject tracking. The FX6 also incorporates an electronically variable ND filter system that can be adjusted from 1/4 to 1/128 or operated automatically, allowing exposure to be controlled while maintaining the desired aperture and depth of field.

The camera’s modular and lightweight design makes it suitable for handheld, tripod, gimbal, and other production configurations. Dual media slots support both CFexpress Type A and SDXC memory cards, while professional connectivity includes SDI, HDMI, timecode, XLR audio capability, and built-in Wi-Fi.
