The Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN Art is an advanced, wide-angle to mid-telephoto standard zoom lens engineered for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless camera systems. Combining an extended focal range with a bright constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, this “do-it-all” Art series optic equips creators to seamlessly handle landscapes, street photography, commercial portraits, and event coverage with a single lens. Its minimum focusing distance of 15.8 inches across the entire zoom range allows for detailed close-up framing throughout the focal spectrum.
Driven by Sigma’s High-response Linear Actuator (HLA) motor, the lens delivers fast, near-silent, and highly accurate autofocus performance for both stills and video workflows. The optical construction features two FLD (F Low Dispersion), one SLD (Special Low Dispersion), and five aspherical elements to suppress chromatic aberrations, color fringing, and spherical distortion. A rounded 12-blade diaphragm produces smooth, circular background bokeh. Constructed with a magnesium barrel section near the mount to reduce weight to approximately 2 lb, the lens includes a water- and oil-repellent front element coating alongside full dust- and splash-resistant weather sealing.
